Aspen Hall

Last night I was at Aspen Hall for the Dexter/Kennedy wedding. What a great party! Jaime looked beautiful, and Dustin seemed like a heck of a nice guy (and super tall). Everybody danced and had a great time. We didn't do a bouquet or garter toss, but they did something really fun and unique. We had tequila shots brought to the dance floor, played Garth Brooks' "Friends in Low Places" and all did a shot together. It was pretty neat. Joe (Jaime's dad) says the tradition started 11 years ago at his son's wedding.
Everyone from Country Catering was great to work with, and Courtney Leech (the photographer) and her helper (oh no, I forgot her name!) were very nice and easy to work with.
The pond out back was frozen solid, and since Aiden and I had everything set-up an hour an a half early, we took a walk around it. There were footprints going across the pond, over the ice, so it looked like someone had walked across it, but I wouldn't recommend trying it! We did see a bug walking on the ice...he'll probably make it across eventually, but I'd never seen a bug slipping before...fore ever step he took forward with his eight little tiny legs, he'd slide sideways a little bit. Quite bizarre. And I know...this is quite bizarre for my first wedding DJ blog.
