I thought I'd be able to blog about each of the weddings I do, but I'm finding that this time of year is just too crazy. A wedding every weekend, my 3 radio shows, the things I do as Operations Manager at HBG, the 4 or 5 events we do at the radio station and my new business, is just not going to let that happen. I'm not complaining, I have a blessed life, I just don't have the time to blog like I wanted, which is unfortunate, because I really wanted to honor the great couples, families, friends and other professionals at the events I've done this year.
Aspen Hall
Food: Tate & Tate Photographer: Tiffanie Cabral Jacob hired me way in advance, I've done a million weddings at Aspen Hall, I've been at plenty of weddings catered by Tate & Tate and I've worked with Tiffanie Cabral before, so this was all very familiar and comfortable. What a great day! Long Hollow Ranch
Another great reception at Long Hollow! Jordyn & Ross' friend, Jenna, did a great live performance for the first dance, and Jessica did a great job teaching the guests a couple of line dances. Weather was great, food was great, wonderful family and friends, lots of dancing and a great bubble send off! I'm a little sad I don't have any more events at Long Hollow Ranch this year, but I do have a wedding every weekend for the rest of the season, and I'm looking forward to some other great venues. Broken Top
It was planned very quickly, but turned out to be a great wedding and reception! It was great to see Leanne, I haven't been to Broken Top for a wedding in a couple years! This event was wild! A wonderful bride and groom, and really cool guests. The kind of people that just seem like they care for, love and support everyone they come in contact with. I love people like that. There was a harpist for the ceremony, then I provided sound for toasts, first dances and a little bit if dancing, then they had a salsa band and finally, a dance instructor! Not a bad way to spend a Friday night! Long Hollow Ranch
Country Catering I really enjoy the events I do at Long Hollow Ranch, so it's no surprise that this was another great event. The ceremony was delayed by 30 minutes, due to thundershowers, and there were some windy and then rainy moments throughout the evening, but once we moved to the barn for dancing, no kind of weather could stop us from having a great time. Nikki and Chase's friends and family danced to everything we played...oldies, country, hip-hop, rock and dance music; what a great party! Food was great, of course, it always is when Country Catering is involved. I'm at Long Hollow Ranch again next week, and I can't wait! A big thanks to Katie (Nikki's mom, for trusting me with such an important event) and Katie (at Long Hollow Ranch) for always being so gracious! Aspen Hall
Country Catering Photographer: Talitha Griffith Jordan and Carter are just great, and it was so cool to be part of their wedding. I especially liked the idea of removing the garter, placing it on a football, and throwing it to the guys...a very innovative way to get the guys to actually try to catch the darn thing! The ceremony was nice (Calvin did a great job with the acoustic guitar and singing), food was great, crowd was fun and it was just a great event overall. Talitha, the photgrapher, was easy to work with and Aspen Hall is always Aspen Hall
Food: Tate & Tate & Twist Photographer: Paul Clark, Black & Red Photography Wow! It was The Timmy & Alex Awesome Show! Great food and drink, of course, and great family and friends for a great evening at Aspen Hall. Weather was great, too! The first dances were all very creative, and I enjoyed putting together special music for the event (mash-ups is the term they use for it these days). They also had aerial silk performances throughout the evening, which were a great addition to an already entertaining wedding! So glad I was invited to Principal Julie invited me to play music at Marshall's first prom in a very long time and I was honored to do it! What a great group of kids, and what a great time! The Marshall Explorers are awesome!
River Run Event Center Food: Tate & Tate & Twist Photographer: Stott Shots I knew this would be a great wedding...I always enjoy being at River Run Event Center at Eagle Crest. Tate & Tate always has great food, Twist is wonderful and the folks at Stott Shots are so easy to work with. Tina and Marcus are Ultra-Cool, and they have great family and friends. It was a great night, and everyone seemed to have a blast...the dance floor stayed busy from beginning to end, and that's always a lot of fun! |
