Great event this morning! David Miller did a great job as MC before the race, and Bill Baker was a brilliant MC for The Robberson Ford Mazda Post Dash Bash (even though he fell down on stage). Robin Fox did a great job broadcasting from the studio, and I was "live on location" doing my radio thing from Bond & Greenwood in Bend. My daughter was in the Quackers costume (a big duck), and she was awesome (I always wanted more for her, LOL). Great job everybody...what a fun event, and it was fun to see Bend really get into the 3rd annual Mt. Bachelor Rotary St. Patrick's Day Dash, presented by Deshcutes Brewery! |

Great time at the Trivia Bee...I had never done the event before. Always great sharing a stage with David Miller (Lite 95.7, 105.7 KQAK & Voodoo Highway), working with all the great people at Tower Theatre and The Bend-La Pine Education Foundation and being in the presence of Kristi Miller (I think I'm mean to her because I secretly like her...and I think if we were in 2nd grade, she would totally kick me). Congratulations to everyone that participated...you raised some money for a great cause, and had a bunch of fun doing it)! And congratulations to the Horizon Broadcasting team, Trivia Killed the Radio Star, for actually doing pretty well in their round (2nd I think). Good job Robin Fox, Debby Bever & Rick Olson! The Diamondbacks were awesome again! They danced to everything from the Chicken Dance, to the Cupid Shuffle, to the Macarena! They also did a Conga Line and a Groove Line...and I loved their long list of requests, from AC/DC to Rihanna. Great job kids! I hope we get to do it again!
Aspen Hall
Food: Country Catering Photo: Courtney Leech Last night I was at Aspen Hall for the Dexter/Kennedy wedding. What a great party! Jaime looked beautiful, and Dustin seemed like a heck of a nice guy (and super tall). Everybody danced and had a great time. We didn't do a bouquet or garter toss, but they did something really fun and unique. We had tequila shots brought to the dance floor, played Garth Brooks' "Friends in Low Places" and all did a shot together. It was pretty neat. Joe (Jaime's dad) says the tradition started 11 years ago at his son's wedding. Everyone from Country Catering was great to work with, and Courtney Leech (the photographer) and her helper (oh no, I forgot her name!) were very nice and easy to work with. The pond out back was frozen solid, and since Aiden and I had everything set-up an hour an a half early, we took a walk around it. There were footprints going across the pond, over the ice, so it looked like someone had walked across it, but I wouldn't recommend trying it! We did see a bug walking on the ice...he'll probably make it across eventually, but I'd never seen a bug slipping before...fore ever step he took forward with his eight little tiny legs, he'd slide sideways a little bit. Quite bizarre. And I know...this is quite bizarre for my first wedding DJ blog. |
